Frugal Friday: Cheap Easter Recipes

For this Frugal Friday, I’m offering some cheap, last-minute Easter recipes. They’re last minute in the sense that, well, it’s already Good Friday, as well as in the sense that the recipes are pretty easy and don’t take too many ingredients — perfect for a last-minute situation.

#1. Bunny Butt Pancakes from Girl Versus Dough
I love these; I mean, have you seen anything cuter? If you live anywhere near where berries are in season, please make these for me…only, don’t use Bisquick. Make a basic pancake recipe like this one instead – cheap, easy, adorable.

#2. 50 Cheap Easter Recipes from Cheap Recipe Blog

This is a very Inceptiony list within a list. Very meta. But I couldn’t not include this in my own comparatively short list of cheap Easter recipes. Haley has done an excellent job rounding up all that can be frugal about eating this weekend.

#3. Easter Sweet Potato Bunniesfrom Style and Grace
Sweet Potatoes. Olive Oil. Salt. That’s it. Love the look of this festive Easter side dish.

Finally, if you’re looking for an easy (make-ahead) breakfast option for this Sunday, look no further than these individual egg bake rounds, and please, if you live anywhere near locally grown asparagus, give those spears a kiss for me, and make this grilled asparagus with lemon-chive vinaigrette.

  1. I always love how beautiful your blog is. We have an established plot of asparagus up here at the farm. If we get any this year I’ll have to send some down. The snow is finally melting, so it won’t be long now. Well, off to the sugar bush. Maple syrup is essential for those cute bunny but pancakes.

      • We got 2.5 gallons of sap today and boiled it down to 3/4 cup. Hope we have a long season, but we never know with MN weather. Send us an email if you want to come this way, we’re not going anywhere.
