Frugal Tuesdays: Cheap Holiday Dessert Recipes

After last week’s frugal holiday appetizer post, I thought I should follow up with some budget dessert ideas. I’m always looking for fun dessert ideas to bring to a potluck or party; I hope these recipes can help you save some moola in this season of gift buying!

1. Cranberry Grapefruit Shortbread Bars from Frugal Foodie Family
Just six ingredients and so festive! Love the look of this recipe.

2. Peanut Butter Drizzled Milk Chocolate Chunk Cookies from How Sweet It Is
First of all, I can’t tell you how much I love this blog. (This only spendy item in this recipe is the coconut oil, which I’m guessing you could replace with melted butter to soften the peanut butter for drizzling.)

3. Chocolate Earl Gray Cake from Real Simple (my favorite magazine!)
The only things you will probably need to buy for this recipe are the baking chocolate and maybe the Earl Gray tea.

3. Snow-Covered Cranberries from Apron Strings
Another cranberry winner here…just cranberries rolled in powdered sugar – love the idea of this flavor combination!

Now, go, get your frugal sugar on!
